Last Words, Tragic Commons, and a Beknighted Penguin
Print Version September 1st, 2008

- A lively review of Julian Barnes’ new book on death, Nothing to Be Frightened Of.
- Ian Angus on the Tragedy (or not) of the Commons.
- A penguin receiving a knighthood (Norwegian)

I am looking forward to death. But I’m trying to make a deal about the transition phase. Pain is not so much fun.
It’s like standing in line at Disney World. It sort of takes the fun out of it.

Death we will all have to deal with at some point. But, “A penguin receiving a knighthood?” What ever you do don’t let they turn that into a Disney movie.
Happy New Year From Mexico!
